This is the last of this series. Maybe I will do a series of series. I am so in awe of the artists who started this challenge with a theme in mind. I always think of something great, after the fact. Like Halloween costumes, or painting titles. Perhaps at the end of the month, I will look back and find, that I really did have a theme all along! It could happen, right?
I am having fun with the animation of the work in progress, I am glad you are enjoying them as well. I will try to do as many as I can this month.
If you haven’t already, I’d like to invite you to visit my friend Sea Dean’s blog. She has invited all the participants in Leslie’s challenge, to also post their daily paintings on her blog. She is giving prizes! To the most active artist, AND to the most active voter. You can vote for three artists a day. That includes me, of course. Join in the fun!
So much great art being created! Enough to fill the Guggenheim! Do treat yourself and visit Leslie Saeta’s blog today for a look.
YAY! Is anyone else excited that today is the first day of Downton Abbey in the U.S.A.! Everyone in this house is going to be glued to the tube tonight. Including my Dad, believe it or not.
Happy Sun Day Four to all the participants. And happy Sunday to all.
I thought I commented on this one before. I LOVE it, Sheila. It is so cheery!
Thank you Sandy 🙂 I think I need to catch up on a couple of your posts too.
I avoid claiming a series too – I don’t want to tie myself down for 30 days in that way. I generally create a framework that will allow me to just paint as I need to paint. And you will find that your work falls into categories all on its own because it comes from you. This is a very sweet landscape you’ve painted here – and so much fun as the painting blossoms and blooms!
Thank you Jim 🙂 I am loving your work this month, always do.
Yup I’m a Downton freak too. It’s just all over too fast so I have to watch them three times before I’m sated.
Tell me about it…. starting now!!!!! woooo whoooo!
Aw..I can’t see the full effect of your labor because I have animation and gifs turned off on my computer. 🙁 Sorry..but, what I do see reminds me of a spring day, and it’s quite lovely.
Oh I did not think of that… those pesky pop ups. Happy painting to you Katie 🙂
Hi Sheila – what program are you creating that little animation in? I know how to do it in photoshop.
I’m eagerly waiting for Downtown too! Hope this is a happier year for them!
We do too, hope it is happy, especially for Edith! I am using Photoshop for these. just a few frames each, this one had five i think, and the others had three.
Love the bright and cheery flowers you are doing. I am trying to keep the image in my mind to brighten me on this cold day.
Ha ha maybe that is why they are calling me… so unusually cold here. Stay warm my friend!
I am just now getting to look at the artwork on the challenge and saw your name. Love the colors and the animation. I really like the pattern on the background of your blog. Did you do this?
Thank you Susan, so glad you are visiting my blog. Yes, that is one of my fabric designs. You can see it on my Spoonflower site as well. It is watercolor, and the background was added digitally so the color would be smooth in a repeat. Good luck in the challenge! I will visit your blog today 🙂
I do love the animation! It’s so fun seeing your peice come to life. The little birds were a surprise at the end. Don’t worry about a theme. Just keep painting!
I will Pam, and thank you 🙂 I got to the end, and it looks great in person, but when I scanned it, it looked flat. Thought birds might help.
Wow! How did you do the animation? Cool!
Thanks Donna. Photoshop makes it easy. I am only using a few frames, that helps too.
