When I started painting today, this was my leftovers. Trying to use instead of lose paint. The card I was focused on, took a turn for the worse. Or suddenly this looked better.
I was trying to go “Flora” (Bowly), spreading paint with my fingers. Also palette knives and brushes. A little pen, a bit of watercolor. Q-tips.
I had no intentions. At first the white seemed to suggest two forms. A conversation maybe. Adding paint, that image dissipated. I wanted to work quick and loose. It’s Downton night don’t ya’ know! (Typed with an Irish accent that. The Quiet Man is on.)
My friend Sea Dean has invited all the participants in Leslie’s challenge, to also post their daily paintings on her blog. She is giving prizes! To the most active artist, AND to the most active voter. You can vote for three artists a day. That includes me, of course. Join in the fun!
Treat yourself and visit Leslie Saeta’s blog today. There are now over 1200 artists taking part. So cool! Such great art!
Here is a cute video for all those born in January, today is my birthday and I am inviting you to a virtual party. This isn’t really “Happy Birthday” but it makes me giggle. So enthusiastic. Get your jam on!
Still cold, but they say it will warm up to the 70’s today. Right now it is 37 degrees. Still snow on the ground, and “yuck” in the house. We postponed my birthday dinner until we are all presentable. Wishing good health to all!
Still snow on the ground, just a bit (5 days later), and still CoLd!
I love these colors! I am also fascinated by your photo showing your painting process. I am going to have to try painting with my fingers soon.
So glad you like it Lillian 🙂 It was fun using my fingers, I might try it on a larger piece this week 🙂 have fun with your painting today 🙂

Again, I loved the transformation. The finished product is lovely and I am impressed that you don’t know where you are going when you start. Maybe someday I will feel comfortable being free and loose like that. I loved the video and Happy Birthday, Sheila!
Thank you Pam 🙂 I love what you do too – I could not draw a cute critter if my life depended on it!
I love it! You went all Flora LOL! I have to remember to wear gloves, the paint is still toxic in some colors. 🙂 I love painting with my hands. I can do things I cannot do with an expensive paint brush!
