The Flowers
All the names I know from nurse:
Gardener’s garters, Shepherd’s purse,
Bachelor’s buttons, Lady’s smock,
And the Lady Hollyhock.
Fairy places, fairy things,
Fairy woods where the wild bee wings,
Tiny trees for tiny dames–
These must all be fairy names!
Tiny woods below whose boughs
Shady fairies weave a house;
Tiny tree-tops, rose or thyme,
Where the braver fairies climb!
Fair are grown-up people’s trees,
But the fairest woods are these;
Where, if I were not so tall,
I should live for good and all.
Finished this at 11 :50 pm. Downton night. There are just a few copper dots, (they look
brown) both in the border and the bloom. They add just a hint of shine. I might add more of the copper.

Reminds me of some far away “nebula” seen through a telescope… beautiful! 🙂
Ha ha… I was going to use that name for tomorrows piece… glad you like it Karin 🙂
This would make a lovely scarf or pillow, it is very pretty!
Thanks so much Rolina. I will make these available in my Zazzle shop next month.
Sheila,
I’m enjoying this color palette and the painting could so easily be a wonderful textile. I see it as a summer sundress – full of the flowers mentioned in the poem…
What a beautiful idea Connie 🙂
Ooooo! I do like the dark blue. It makes colors in the center pop! But then I like contrast in painting and quilting.
So glad you like it Pam 🙂
This is yummy! I love your playfulness in these past Pastelish pieces, Sheila!
Thank you Sandy 🙂
