Life without love is like a tree without blossoms or fruit.
Khalil Gibran
Notice that the stiffest tree is most easily cracked,
while the bamboo or willow survives by bending with the wind.
Bruce Lee
I have been thinking about the trees. So many here were broken by the weight of our rare snow storm. The trimmers are happy I am sure – business is good! On one street alone, I counted 17 trees that had been broken in half, or just toppled completely. The Italian Cypress are all bending this way and that. But they are still standing.
There are still a lot of us “standing” in this challenge.

So pretty!
So glad you like it Karin 🙂
The versatility that you are showing is great although I seem to see a woman’s shape in the trees of this piece – arms up raised swaying in the breeze. Strong and delicate at the same time – good for you!
Cool, Val… I like that. I did think that some of the magenta looked like it was reaching up. 🙂
I really like the color palette of your last few. And I can see several things that would work well into patterns for fabric. This could be the inspiration for a fabric line. But as you do make patterns for fabric, maybe you have already thought of that. Glad we have persevered another day in this challenge. I always enjoy seeing what you have to show us next!
Maybe my hands were thinking of that… but my brain has not been. Susan and Connie mentioned that too. Good thing I have friends to jog my brain! I am glad you are still in the challenge too Pam! Your paintings make me smile each day!
I can tell you are having lots of fun with this series, Sheila. This one is so inviting and playful I really love it.
They have been fun. Just painting, no planning. So glad you like it Sandy 🙂
Love this and the post. Great sayings! Beautiful art!
Thanks so much Charlotte, so glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Sheila,
This has such a nice ‘fabric feel’ – great fun & I love the colors!
Cool Connie, thanks! I have been so busy keeping up with this challenge, I have not even thought about using these in other ways. Thanks for making my brain click. Susan mentioned a scarf… You both have my brain spinning 🙂
I see a scarf here Sheila. What a beautiful painting and design.
Interesting idea Susan…. so glad you like it 🙂
Oh, so uplifting!
So glad , thank you Rolina 🙂
I’m loving this whimsical style you’ve got going on lately, but gasp!! You used pink??? 😀 😉
I know!!! What is going on Katie! ha ha ha I wonder if seeing your feminine florals has had anything to do with it?
Wow, Sheila! I gotta say, these latest abstracts are YOUR THING! They are so full of life and love and joy!!! Please keep doing these!!!
I am laughing, thank you so much Pierce. Ok, I will do more of these 🙂
I LOVE it 🙂 The tree has such strength and because of the colours is gentle at the same time.. A big strong protecting giant 🙂 Something we all need 🙂
I love that description Sylvie! You rock!
