I had fun working on today’s painting. It is a 4 x 4 gallery wrapped canvas. I don’t think it is very good, but I like it. Good practice anyway.
I started with the painting below. A canvas panel from the last challenge that I never completed. The shapes jumped out at me. But they are caricatures and I am not sure if they can be saved, or improved. High collars seem the theme of the day.
After I painted this, I put The Ghost and Mrs. Muir on for company. I had a good laugh when I realized that my painting resembled the characters. What is that? Kismet? Serendipity?
If you haven’t seen the movie, there is a lot of heated discussion between the two characters. In the painting, the two almost form a heart.
Happy Friday everyone! Take a look at today’s art here.
Aw..sorry you don’t like it. Sometimes, it’s just a matter for working on a piece more until you do like it. That’s a little something I learned from taking online workshops with Misty Mawn. She always says, “keep painting until you love it.” 🙂 Good advice, I think.
Thank you Katherine! I do like her, I just don’t think it is as good as my faces from earlier this week. I will keep that in mind! Thanks for stopping by!
This painting, Deep Thought, doesn’t have the initial impact the others do, BUT she is calming and pensive and she grows on you. As you look at her it’s almost as if she’s trying to send you a message telepathically and you begin to wonder what she has on her mind. I really like her Sheila, don’t sell her short hey!
In Muir’s Ghost , I get the feeling that she’s telling him something that has nonplussed him a bit 🙂 hehe, wonder what it was!
If you have not seen the movie, check it out when you get the chance… it’s is good … and then you will have an idea of what she is telling him. hahahah
There is something very pensive about her expression. Perfect title. And I like the blue hair too! Here’s to a fabulous weekend!
Thank you Jim!
Like them both…I loved that movie and there was a show too right?
Yes Terri, there was a show, I have never seen it though. Thanks for stopping by 🙂
I like it’ Especially the blue hair.
Thank you Sea… it was calling me.
