Such a fluke. My name was chosen. I can’t say I never win anything – anymore. I won a Sandy Sandy ORIGINAL Friendship Feather painting. It is gorgeous.
Feathers hold a special place with me. I am sure a lot of you would say that as well. Emily Dickinson wrote a poem that comes to mind, here is the first part:
Hope is the thing with feathers~
Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all,
Isn’t that beautiful?

I have been an admirer of Sandy’s art for a while now. I love her brilliant colors, and the fluidity of her strokes. Sandy is a master with Yupo and watercolor. She also works with alcohol ink. She just makes it look so effortless.
Sandy is so generous, sharing tips and tricks on her blog. She gives demos regularly, and gives fine art lessons. Visit her website for more information on upcoming events.
Receiving a piece of art from Sandy is a blessing to me. It is a chance to see the masters work up close and personal. Not only did Sandy grace me with a signed and matted Friendship Feather, she also included her tips on working with Yupo, and a sample pack for practice.
WOW! Color me excited! Sandy is continuing her “Free Feather Friday” through the end of June. Be sure to visit her blog, or Facebook art page to sign up for your chance to win.
Thank you Sandy! Good luck everyone!
You’re so lucky, Sheila. And I’m so happy to see you getting involved in many artist communities and keeping yourself inspired!
Thank you Lucy 🙂 I hope you are keeping yourself inspired as well. I know you have been through a lot of changes recently, hopefully all for the best. Be true to YOU, and to your ART 🙂
You lucky dog! I LOVE Sandy’s work also. If I lived closer, I would definitely take some lessons. Mmm…maybe a road trip is in order.
Oh a road trip sounds fun! Especially if it includes and art retreat!
