Loose was about three minutes back from where I stopped painting. Next stop. Overworked.
Still for all that is wrong with this pear, I really like it. It is far from perfect. I love aged, chipped and peeling, left out in the rain and rusted shut.
This looks like it has lived a long life. The art, not the real pear. Although, maybe that did too now that I think about it. Looks like it was left on a desk, and someone spilled some Coke on it. They tried to wipe it up, but duh, it is watercolor. So the paint smeared into a muddy mess.
Happy Day 14 to all the artists still working away in Leslie’s Challenge! Happy Tuesday to everyone – Thanks for stopping by!
Keep remembering that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. To you this pear is old, and has spilled coke on it, and to me it has reached that ‘perfect’ time when it is ripe and so soft to enjoy all the yummy flavors! I must tell you, though, I get the biggest kick out of your descriptions. I swear, you really should be a writer of some sorts, you are great with words, phrases, descriptions, silliness, and the list goes on and on! To put it simple, you write very enjoyable stuff!! 🙂 (And on a serious note, your critiques on my paintings are wonderful. I love how you interpret them. Usually after I read what you have posted on my paintings, I say “oh yeah”….I see that too! Cool. : 🙂
Thank You Joan. I love your comments too. I am looking at it from the point of view, that what I was trying to achieve didn’t happen. But yes the result is still very nice. And thanks Joan for complimenting my writing. I am not sure why, but I have had a hard time finding my voice when writing my blog posts. It has been a struggle. So nice to hear you find them entertaining at times 🙂
