Blah, blah, blah
Blah, blah, better?
The hand of the student still grips tightly. I know it is the small size I am working in that limits flings and flourishes. I discovered the cupboard is bare, no more paper in there. Until I make a trip for supplies, small it is.
Busy day today, this will have to do for Day 9. Caught up in mid-tones. Blah, blah, bland.
Have an awesome day y’all!
Visit Leslie’s site for tons of non-bland art!
I like your tenacity Sheila. The key to mastery is through repetition grasshopper! I do like the background and the punched up flowers in the 2nd picture. 😀
Thank you O wise and gracious Master! I am glad I did not throw it in the junk pile! Thanks for making me laugh. I do believe that is the first time I have ever been called grasshopper. That image will stick with me for a while! ha ha ha
I have been there too! Blah, Blah, Better! It is great to take pictures of each process to see the improvements, ya know it. I need to do this as well then maybe that would help me from applying gesso over the entire piece and starting over. I need to be more like you and just keep trying. But, nope! I lose my patience and either gesso or if I can tear it…I will tear it.
Today’s painting did get better!! Keep on going Sheila. You can do it! 🙂
Wouldn’t it be nice if our “busy” day meant all we did was ART!!! 🙂 What a wonderful idea, huh?
Have a fun day.
See you for day #10.
Tootles,
Joan
Joan you make me laugh, thank you so much for that! 🙂 I have visions of you in your studio, with gesso splashed on the walls, and shredded paper concealing the floor! Boy I get the urge to rip it up and hide the evidence!
I noticed a few days ago, some of the artists in the 30 are showing progress shots, some have even done videos. I thought I would try to do that. But I forgot to get more in between shots. I got lucky with the “happy accidents” on this one. Another reminder I need to let the paint to the work. Trust the paint.
A day filled with making art – sigh…. do you think we could get that made into a national Holiday? Nah, then we would have to celebrate making art, and there would be weeks of planning for a big parade, and we would have even less time to actually paint. hahaha
