This does not scream party or holiday and maybe it does not really qualify as “festive”. But then again, maybe it does:
fes·tive
adjective \ˈfes-tiv\
: cheerful and exciting : suited to a celebration or holiday
: of or relating to Christmas
Full Definition of FESTIVE
1: of, relating to, or suitable for a feast or festival <a festiveoccasion>
I just know that festive is the first word that came to mind when I saw this final pattern. I love it on white, the colors really pop. Then again, you are not supposed to wear white in the fall, right? I wasn’t thinking of clothing, but I started thinking maybe it would be better to have a warmer background. What do you think?
I do have a couple of ideas for companion patterns. One with a border of the leaves piling up. Hopefully I can finish those soon. Enjoy the rest of your day everyone!
I think this fabric is very festive! It is cheerful… It is joyful! It makes you happy just looking at it! Mission Accomplished!!
What a good idea to offer different background colors, too. That way, someone can pick their favorite!!
(maybe even add dots to the background or something small ???)
This would be perfect for anything you use during other festive events — as placemats, tablecloth, any kitchen item like a pot holder, an oven mitt, kitchen curtains, a tote bag, cute pillows, a pillow case … the list goes on and on!
Can’t wait to see the companion fabrics.
Have a fun day!!!
Joan
Thank You Joan 🙂 I can’t wait to work on them, I am going to do a few more leaves, and them put them all together. I thought this would be a cute tote bag or kitchen towels and accessories. How about a larger version of the leaf as a spoon rest! I don’t usually choose red for things, but I think it is the red in this leaf that is calling out to me. I love your ideas Joan! Have a super creative evening! Talk with you soon!
