“A man watches his pear-tree day after day, impatient for the ripening of the fruit. Let him attempt to force the process, and he may spoil both fruit and tree. But let him patiently wait, and the ripe pear at length falls into his lap!” – Abraham Lincoln
Here is a quick and healthy pear recipe that also makes an impressive presentation. Take thin slices of the whole fruit, top with an ounce of goat, ricotta or blue cheese. Add a drizzle of honey and you are good to go. Mmmm.

Happy Monday!
Hey Sheila,
Congrats on Day #9! Did you see that Leslie painted a pear today as well. How cool is that. Plus, there is another pear in the group, too.
Sure am enjoying your pears. They are truly one of my FAVORITE fruits. I’ll have to give it a try, I’ve painted an apple but not a pear. (Joanie Springer has a free apple tutorial that I signed up to receive. I painted three apples from her tutorial. I believe it is 32 pages in all and simply can’t believe she is offering it FREE.) She is participating in the 30 in 30 challenge, too.
Have fun with Day #10.
There have been quite a few pears. I love seeing the different styles and mediums! I think apples are harder. WOW 32 page freebie! I have commented on her work, but I missed that somehow. I will check it out.
Joan I have enjoyed all of your paintings too. I can’t wait to see what is coming next. I think that is what I will miss most at the end of the month.
I have my painting for tomorrow done. I am really happy with it.
Thanks so much Joan for visiting my site… hearing from you makes my day!
Happy Fun Tuesday to you!
